Clear Cut Group is awarded DPP Committed to Sustainability Mark

Clear Cut Group has been awarded the DPP Committed to Sustainability mark. The DPP Committed to Sustainability programme is an industry-leading scheme celebrating and promoting good practice in environmental sustainability across the media sector. This recent accreditation sees Clear Cut Pictures join a select group of media and technical businesses who are working to provide a greener future and demonstrate a commitment to continuous reduction in their environmental impact.

The evaluation process was rigorous and consolidated our good practice and gave us loads of ideas for what else we can do to get us to the next level.”
The Group aims to constantly reduce its environmental footprint. The team follow guidelines for good practice, across a range of large and small measures, so everyone can help – for example, Clear Cut Group’s buildings are powered by 100% renewable energy; the full life-cycle of every product is considered in purchasing decisions; the team follow WEEE disposal guidelines; staff use public transport for business travel; there is extensive cycle parking on site; the businesses in the group are committed to recycling waste and nothing goes to landfill; and we offer Fairtrade kitchen supplies on site. The DPP describes the scheme as follows: In the face of growing concern about climate change, many in the media industry are becoming aware of the need to play their part in improving the sustainability of our industry. That’s why we developed the DPP Committed to Sustainability programme. The programme provides a practical tool to assess your organisation’s progress against key environmental measures, and a common framework for procurement teams to assess the environmental impact of their suppliers. Most of all, it enables you to better understand your organisation’s current status, and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement.
